Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Hale is the founding and Senior Pastor of the Ray of Hope Christian Church in Decatur, Georgia. Ray of Hope has an active membership of 5,000 and an average of 1,500 in worship each Sunday morning. The Guide to Best Places and Practice, list Ray Of Hope as one of 300 excellent Protestant congregations in the United States.
Dr. Hale is a native of Roanoke, Virginia. Her natural talent in music led her to study at Hollins College in Virginia, from which she received her Bachelor of Arts degree. She holds a Master of Divinity degree from Duke University and a Doctorate of Ministry from United Theological Seminary, Dayton, Ohio. Dr. Hale holds five Honorary Doctorates of Divinity.
As a woman of vision, Dr. Hale is revered locally, nationally, and internationally for her leadership, integrity, and compassion.
