Multiple Stellar Award-winner and Grammy-nominee and perennial gospel music favorite, Marvin Sapp, returns with Thirsty, arguably the career-defining CD and DVD releases of his solo career. He has succeeded in establishing himself as one of the most recognizable voices in gospel music through his solo work, and of course as a member of the influential gospel group Commissioned. Sapp declared himself "not a singer who can preach, but rather a preacher who just happens to sing," and he does both with ease on Thirsty.
The title is based on scripture, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness; for they shall be filled" (Matthew 5:6). Sapp spends the lion's share of his time on the road, traveling around the world, preaching the word of God to anyone who will hear him. During these extensive travels, Sapp has seen vast differences in how people worship and revere God. He's seen a difference in how God dispenses His grace, anointing, and power to those who humbly and eagerly seek Him and His glory.
